Regardless of what material your door is made from, we can offer a solution that works for you.
These doors need a multipoint locking mechanism and Euro cylinder to function correctly. The multi-point locking mechanisms must have multiple locking points to meet the requirements of your home insurance policy.
Wooden doors tend to use a rim night latch, otherwise known as a Yale lock, coupled with a mortice deadlock—or Chubb lock—for the highest level of security. Your home insurance policy will require you to have locks that meet the British Standard (BS3621).
The majority of metal doors use a standard or multi-point sash lock. Your insurance policy will likely require suitable locks to be fitted, sometimes in addition to internal locking bolts at the top and bottom of the door.
On sliding patio doors, the locks are typically double Euro cylinder locks at the centre of the door. Extra locks and door bolts can be fitted to the top and bottom corners of each door. These bolts prevent the door from sliding and are an inexpensive and easy way to lock the door if the central lock is no longer functional.
